Mixed Media Layout designed by Jaya Raghuvanshi, featuring Cottage Blush paper collection

Hi everyone,

Jaya here with my debut post for Bob n Betty. I have used the very elegant Cottage Blush paper collection to make a layout.

here are some handy instructions you may refer to design a layout for yourself.
1. Give a coat of matt gel medium/ clear gesso on the paper and dry thoroughly.
2. Use modelling paste and one or two different but similar pattern stencils and add some texture to the page. You can also use some mica powders or dry pigment powders to color you modelling paste.
3. Fussy cut some beautiful rose images and post card images from the collection. Distress the edges using vintage photo distress ink.
4.Now, add some color to the background. You can use sprays, watercolors or anything that is a little forgiving. Spray a little water to make the colors flow and mix with each other. Do not over use water.
5. Start preparing your cluster. Add the fussy cut images and your pic.Embellish with flowers and chipboards.
6. Add some colorful splatters and doodling if you wish to. Use gel medium to add some Finnabair Art stones for detail. Finish off with the title.
Hope you liked my project 🙂
I shall catch up with my next creation soon, till then happy crafting..!!
Cheers
Jaya

A Scrapbook Page LO designed by Bipasha K, featuring “You n I” collection

Hello friends!
Bipasha here and I have another detailed video tutorial for you today. I have been totally droolling over Bob n Betty’s latest release “You n I” 12×12 paperpad . I am in love with the versatility and romantic vibe of this paper pad. It is packed with so many creative elements that you can make a myriad of projects: cards, mixedmedia, Layouts, tags!
Today I decided that I wanted to create a layout and focus on the elements and picture more than a title. Yes, I created a layout with NO title but I guess the message of LOVE is equally portrayed through the beautiful paper elements!

Please enjoy my video tutorial and see how I created this layout step by step.

here are some close ups of the layout…

I hope I gave you some ideas and your creative fluids would be flowing now! 🙂

Floral CAS Cards Designed by Preeti Datta Using Multiple Bob n Betty Collections

Hi friends 🙂

Preeti Datta (aka Dutt Preety) here. How are you today?
I’d like to share 6 CAS or Clean & Simple Styled Floral Cards with you. I have included a few Mixed Media Elements in some of the designs to create additional interest. These were a lot of fun to make & the idea here was to use the gorgeous floral elements from various Bob n Betty Collections & mix and match them to create cards. Usually, we use floral stamps & then color them to make such elements for cards, here, I wanted to fussy cut & use the beautiful, water-colored, floral images in the Bob n Betty Scrapbook Papers.

All the cards are standard A2 sized (4.25 by 5.5 inches). For the first 4 cards, I created fun backgrounds atop watercolor paper die cut panels. To lend these an organic, artsy look, I did “Ink Smooshing” to add shades of green to the background using distress inks & distress oxides. Then, created some ink splatter & did background stamping using shadow grey archival ink. For all the cards, I created layered floral clusters with fussy cut images, torn pieces of pattern paper & thread. Dimension was achieved by adding foam tape under some of the elements. The sentiments were fussy cut from the You n I paper pack & a few die cut sentiments were also used.  In the end, for embellishing all the cards, I used White & Black Nuvo Drops.

Here is a collage of all the cards:

A Proposal Box designed by jaanhvi Hinduja, using You n I paper collection

“it was always you..it had to be you!”. Love, a feeling that sparks within hearts and you don’t remember how and when you fell in love! But the moment when you are expressed that you are the one for them – stays forever in the mind, in the heart!
To celebrate this moment of proposal, I’ve designed a book shaped proposal box with the latest, oh! So classy collection of Bob n Betty – “You n I”.
I’ve been wanting to make a book box titled ‘a love story’s since long. Didn’t find anything apt to match my thoughts till I received the ‘You n I’ paper pack. I was thrilled when I saw the exact phrases in the sentiment sheet – ‘it was written in the stars…a love story’.

I’ve designed the mdf box in the shape of the book, that opens like a drawer for this project. It was a session of drawings and brain storming with my carpenter, and finally we got it right :).
I chose my favourite prints from the stack for this box. Black, lilac and peach. I painted the entire box brown, gave book page texture using texture paste and fork and coloured with watered down brown and yellow ochre. Layered papers after distressing the edges, decorated with some coordinated flowers and contrast leaves. Used chipboard cut outs on the curved side of the box with some antique gold wax and finally adhered my title :).
I would have been happier if this was a gift for me ;), nevertheless, I hope to make someone’s special moment more special with this.
Hope you all like the project :). Would love to hear:).
Love,
Jaanhvi

VALENTINES FAVOUR BOXES designed by Tanya Cloete, using You n I paper collection

Hello Bob n Betty Buddies,

Tanya here, sharing two cute Valentines Favor Boxes with the STUNNING You and I Collection! This is such a simple and quick project using just cutting dies to make! I thought a little box would be perfect for adding some chocolates or a trinket for that special someone in your life for Valentines Day!

Here are the Instructions you may use to recreate such a project:

  1. I used a pocket box shape die to make the box and cut two using the collection sheets. Assemble accordingly.
  2. Cut some hearts from the sheets.
  3. I used a circle and oval die to cut some of the fussy cut elements from the sheets.
  4. Cut the number 14 from black cardstock using number dies.
  5. Fussy cut to word strips to be added to the boxes.
  6. Adhere the pieces with some adhesive foam squares to give the elements dimension.
  7. All done!

Hope you like this as much as I enjoyed making it!

Happy Papercrafting!

Mini Scrapbook designed by Niharika Gupta, using the You n I collection

Hello Everyone!
I am so super excited to show you my new project today, which is a Mini Album in a Box. I truly love it so so much because it has “that” look which I wanted to achieve when I first saw these beautiful papers.
This project is made using Bob n Betty’s latest release, “You n I”, a perfect paper collection for your prettiest love albums.
Valentines Day is around the corner, and I am sure you all are busy making beautiful scrapbooks for the occasion which spreads love in the air. Trust me, this collection is a must try. The colors are super amazing, contrasting, with beautiful graphics and lot of tags and elements to be cut ( Shhh…!! I took out my elements from the cover too, both front and back, try to find out which ones are those ;P). The papers very well go with all the three basic card stock colors, black white or kraft.

I decorated the Box and Album in coordination. The cover of the box has some layered fussy cut flowers and leaves. The size of the album is smaller than it might appear to you, approximately 4”X5”.

I have layered the hair and hands of the couple image on the cover to add a little dimension to it. It has 4 pages with flaps and pockets and an accordion pocket in the end to hold some more pictures. ( P.S. the binding technique is inspired by Ms. Rajni Chawla. I adore all her beautiful creations, I hope I could use it well 🙂 )

Exactly a week to go, for the Valentines day… Yaay!! I can smell Love in the air, already…
Thank you so much for sharing your time with me here… I hope you liked the creation. See you soon with another new project.
Happy Crafting,

Love, Niharika

Mixed Media Layout Designed by Preeti Datta, Showcasing the You N I Collection

Hi friends !

Preeti Datta (aka Dutt Preety) here, how’s it going? Hope you are having a pleasant day.

Today, I’d like to share a Mixed Media Layout titled XOXO or “Hugs & Kisses”, this is a love themed layout for Valentine’s day.

I’ve used gorgeous papers from the brilliant new “You N I” Collection by Bob N Betty. This paper pack has a wonderful color palette, water-colored floral images, hot & steamy painted  images of a couple embracing and  tons of coordinating sentiments that can be fussy cut & used as titles, so no need for stamping. It would work great for all kinds of paper crafting projects. Since Valentine’s Day is near, I thought of making a romantic layout 🙂

Here are a few photos of the Mixed Media Layout- XOXO (Hugs & Kisses):

Process:

For this layout, I started with a 12 by 12 heavy weight white cardstock. I chose one of the pretty floral papers with vertical lines from the brilliant You N I collection as my background. I tore the pattern paper and adhered it to a torn heavy weight black cardstock. The torn, deckled edges add interest to a mixed media piece. These were adhered to the white cardstock. Then, I chose the photo and fussy cut coordinating images, sentiments and florals from the You N I pack, these were used for layering. Other elements used to create the layers included, flowers, net, twine, pollens & die cuts. Once all the elements were gathered and ready, I layered them and formed a composition I was happy with. After that I added color with Lindy’s sprays and distress oxide inks, creating the dripping effect. Then to add interest to the background, I did background stamping with black and shadow grey archival inks. For added texture and details, I added Nuvo’s White Crystal Drops and Dress My Craft Little Hearts in clusters, all over the central composition. To add shine & more texture, I mixed Prima’s Art stones mini and regular sized, silver sequins, glitter with Prima’s soft matte gel and applied it to some areas of the layout like near the floral clusters. In the end, I created black and white splatter with inks.

Used Bob N Betty’s Brilliant New “You N I” Collection:
