Reverse Decoupage on Glass Plate by Ruchika Gupta, feat. Roseate DecoPatch papers

Hello my crafty friends,

This is Ruchika from Caterpillar Designs and today I bring you a beautiful project that I am super-duper excited about, made with the latest ROSEATE – DECOPATCH papers by BobnBetty.

I have made a Glass Plate using reverse decoupage technique along with stencils, texture paint and crackle medium. The elements have a very English Victorian look that I love. And what I have done with the stencils is that I have hand painted each brick with paint to give a very realistic feel to the background. The results have come out stunning.

All the elements in the Roseate Decopatch papers are beautiful and can be used on any medium. The best part is that you can fuzzy cut them and arrange them as you wish and then crate a desired background for it.
So, what are you waiting for? Let your creativity flow and don’t forget to share it with us.

Floral CAS Cards Designed by Preeti Datta, Feat. Roseate Paper Collection

Hi folks!
Good Morning 🙂
Preeti Datta (aka Dutt Preety) here. How are you doing ?

Today, I’d like to share Four Floral CAS or Clean and Simple Style Cards designed using the new & absolutely gorgeous Roseate Paper Collection.

The floral images in this paper collection are beautiful & make perfect focal elements for all kinds of projects. All I needed to do was fussy cut some floral images and sentiments. No stamping or colouring required! In these cards, I’ve created different backgrounds using stencils, ink smooshing with inks to create a more organic look and loose water colouring. To add interest, I created ink splatter, added thread to some of the floral clusters and Nuvo drops for embellishment. The card panels were die cut & foam mounted on white A2 sized (4.25 by 5.5 inches) card bases.

Pictorial:

  1. Cut 2 pattern papers from the Roseate Paper Collection into 4.5 by 6.5 inches in size & then distress their edges with a paper distresser, darken the edges with ink to better define the edges & apply clear gesso on these panels

2. Mix modelling paste with pigment powders and then apply the coloured pastes through stencils onto the prepared panels using a palette knife2

3. To add interest to the background, stamp using matching ink colors and also add some more color (and splatters) to the background using the same pigment powders & distress ink3

4. Fussy cut some of the beautiful images from the Roseate Paper Collection, these will be our embellishments4

5. Finally, gather some more elements like thread, lace, pearls, gauze, resin frames etc that may be needed while layering. For these cards, I decided to go simple & use only the fussy cut elements and some golden thread, adding some of the elements with 3d foam tape for added dimension. In the end, added some black and white ink splatter & perfect pearls. 5

A Multi-purpose organizer, decoupaged by Ruchika Gupta, feat. Roseate Decoupage Specialty Collection

Hello my crafty friends,

Today I bring to you my first project as Bob n Betty’s Design Team Member. A decoupage project – Makeup Organizer made with the new gorgeous BobnBetty Decoupage Specialty Papers “Roseate”. These papers have a beautiful Victorian romance feel to them and I absolutely love them. So much so, that I used almost the entire pack of papers on one project.

The best part about BobnBetty designs is that you don’t have to add too many elements to the design to make your projects look better. There is so much going on in the background of each design…newspaper print…text… patterns… dark and light flowers… paint splashes along with the one highlighted main element.

Here is the process you can follow to recreate an organizer:

  1. The first step is to sand the box well.
  2. The entire box is then painted maroon, matching the color of one of the flowers in the print.
  3. A subtle texture at the back of the tray and on the dividers with the help of stencils and paints gives a very nice soft look to the project.
  4. Decoupage the box with the desired prints on the 3 sides and also inside the tray and on the base of the top tray.
  5. With the help of distress inks, merge the edges.
  6. Added one of the matching flower elements from the Roseate Vol-1 DECOPATCH papers after fuzzy cutting, to the front divider of the organizer.
  7. Using gold paint, I stenciled the same pattern in the front of the box, to add another element to the look and feel of the box.
  8. To finish the box, I added a metal label embellishment and a tag saying ‘Beautiful You’.

This organizer can be used to store many things other than makeup. I would love to store even my crafting tools in it.
I had fun using these papers and I must say they are super easy to use even if you are a beginner at decoupage. Do try them and don’t forget to share your work with us in our Facebook group “Bob n Betty Buddies”.

Happy Crafting.
Love
Ruchika
