A Hot Air Balloon covered with butterflies, designed by Tanya Cloete

Hello Scrappy Friends,

Tanya here with a Butterfly Hot Air Balloon using Bob n Betty’s beautiful #LoveSpell Collection!

The inspiration behind creating this project was a picture i came across on Pinterest!

It is a hot air balloon, meticulously  covered with butterflies. I was extremely inspired by the beauty of this picture and knew I had to make it, in 3D of course 🙂

I cut the hot air balloon and box using my Silhouette and assembled accordingly. I decorated the box with flowers, leaves, ribbon and string.

I then cut 2 strips from chipboard and painted them white. This is used as the handle support to keep the ‘balloon’ section up.

I cut 200 butterflies all together using my Memory Box butterfly dies. The solid from the collection paper and the outline butterflies from black cardstock. I glued every black outline butterfly to the solid one and added a pink rhinestone to the centre of each.

I then adhered the butterflies to the ‘balloon’. I must say this was very time consuming but I am very pleased with the end result!

Hope you like this as much as I enjoyed making it!

Hello Scrappy Friends,

Tanya here with a Mini Mailbox and Envelope Album using Bob n Betty’s stunning “No One But You” paper collection!

I have cut the mailbox with stand using my Silhouette and assembled accordingly. I’ve placed this on a wooden canvas that has been painted with matching colours. I also added metal feet to the canvas.

The mailbox is decorated with lots of flowers, leaves, string, chipboard piece and metal embellishments.

The mailbox can open and on the inside you will find the envelope album.

These 6 envelopes were cut using the We R Memory Keepers Envelope punch board. The sheets were cut into 6×6 and scored on a 2 5/8” score line.

I have fussy cut a lot of word strips, tags and journaling pieces from the collection pack that have been placed on the inside of each envelope.

Photos can also be added to the envelopes.

Hope you like this as much as I enjoyed making it!

A Masculine Miniature Designed by Ayushi Aggarwal

Hey friends,

Arushi here, with another project designed with Bob n Betty’s “Voyager” paper collection.

Voyager is a travel theme paper pack and mostly carries a vintage colour tone which turns out to be apt for masculine projects, so I decided to make something on this line for my DT project this month.

Handmade miniatures are captivating the craft world completely. Hence, I too decided to try my hands on these cute, little paper craft creations.
Here is my take on a desktop décor miniature setup, it’s mainly a business cards holder in a masculine look. Let’s have a closer look…..

Hope you all liked this creation…do share your opinion 🙂

Hello Scrappy Friends,

Tanya here with a Page Layout using Bob n Betty’s beautiful #LoveSpell Collection!

Here we go…..

Using pink and white paint I lightly made splashes on the sheet using a paint brush. I then mixed some black and pink acrylic paint with modeling paste and added this to the sheet using the Tim Holtz Splatter stencil.

I cut square pieces from the sheets and layered them onto one another.

I have also painted 2 metal heart embellishments with black gesso and dry brushed them with metallic pink acrylic paint.

The chipboard pieces (hash tag and 2 circles) have been embossed with Ranger White Embossing Powder.

I fussy cut two of the circles (love and heart) in the collection pack and adhered them to the chipboard circles.

I used a chipboard frame and matted it with one of the sheets in the collection pack. A photo can be added.

I then decorated the page with some other embellishments and heart stickers.

I always like to use a matching colour cardstock as the base of my layout. I’ve trimmed one of the sheets in the collection pack to fit the cardstock sheet leaving a border.

Hope you like this as much as I enjoyed making it!

Shaker Elements designed by Ayushi Aggarwal

Hey Guys,

Hope you all had a colorful Holi..! Well, I’m having some great time playing with the minions…..are you too looking for some crafty adventures..?? then get ready to try something new.

I have something really cute and witty to share with you all, yess they are Minion themed shaker elements, designed with Bob n Betty’s latest release Ba-Ba-Banana. This is a decoupage specialty series, but to my surprise, these papers works so well with the cardstock too, I’m definitely going to experiment with other paper lines as well in this category.

Shaker cards are trending massively these days, and I too think that they never fail to delight, hence I absolutely love incorporating them in my creations.

So If you’ve never tried your hands on this technique, I hope you’ll be encouraged to try it after today’s post because they are so easy to make..! 🙂 🙂

Come lets have a look…..

I have designed a magic card too, don’t miss to check out its video..!

A quirky pair of shoes, Decoupaged by Pratyusha

Pratyusha here with a super quirky project this time, after all its made from the latest minion themed papers released by Bob n Betty 🙂

The moment I layed my eyes on these, I knew I wanted to make a wearable pair of shoes. I wear shoes most of the time to college as well so had an extra pair, which I haven’t used at all. So decided that this time I should make Minion Inspired shoes for myself.

The procedure is as follows:

1) I primed the canvas shoe with a coat of gesso.

2) Gave a base coat of Cadmium Yellow.

3) From the paper pack I cut out minions in different sizes and use decoupage matt glue to glue them to the sides of the canvas shoe.

4) For the tongue of the canvas shoe I cut out the pattern from the paper pack with blue background and yellow polka dots. I didn’t have to do much work here as the papers themselves have a lot of depth. I pasted the pattern again using decoupage matt glue.

5) Once everything was dry used Ochre yellow to put in some highlights.

6) Added black paint to accentuate the design and let everything dry overnight.

7) Gave a coat of water based varnish and let it dry

And tadaa…my own pair of decoupaged Minion shoes is ready to flaunt!!! I already wore it to a small party 🙂

Quite a quirky pair I would say!!!

A Pin-up Board designed by Jaanhvi Hinduja

Hello buddies!
Its a bright hot summer afternoon, and as I sip some cold iced tea I think of the scorching summers ahead and the kids’ summer vacations!
Thinking of the vacation and the newest! coolest! ‘Minion’ decoupage papers launched by Bob n Betty recently,  I thought of making something that I needed for my son’s room –  a pin up board! All of us would relate to this –  keeping track of the school activities dates and organising the everyday circulars is quite a task.  A pin up board does come handy for this,  and nothing can be cooler than something which is handmade.
I’ve done fabric decoupage using the minion paper and then made a soft board out of it.
So let’s begin with the process….
Supplies needed – Decoupage paper of your choice,  soft board, thick white fabric, thin white foam or thick white velvet cloth, modpodge matte and sponge.
1. Cut soft board (available in plywood stores). Can be easily cut with a sharp cutter. I’ve taken a 12″/12″ board.
2. Take a thick cotton fabric and cut it 2″ larger than the board from all sides.
3. Take a decoupage paper and coat it with modpodge evenly (front side).  Use generous coats. Use a thick brush so that you finish coating before it dries.
4. Now stick the modpodge coated paper on the cotton fabric and press gently with your fingers and remove all bubbles. Allow it to dry for a few hours. I left it overnight.
5. Take a piece of sponge,  dip it in water and remove the paper layer slowly in circular motion. Do it in parts and patiently. Do not scratch hard – it’ll spoil the image. Keep doing this until you see the clean image. Use a hair dryer to dry the fabric.
6. My board was 12″/12″ and the photo transferred image was A4,  so I painted the sides.  The polka dots have been done by my son :).  It’s a great craft actually for kids to learn to upcycle things.
7. Next,  i covered the board with a thick white velvet.  Reason 1 –  it makes the board appear soft and easier to push pins inside. Reason 2 – white fabric underneath the decoupage fabric brings out the colours nicely.
8. Then i covered the velvet covered board with the minion fabric.  I’ve used a hardware stapler to do this. You could also use a glue gun instead, but i wanted it to be sturdy and so i used a stapler.
9. Finally i slipped the completed board in a pre-made wooden frame.
And its ready to be hung!
Hope you find the idea and the steps useful. Do give it a try – kids will love it I’m sure!
Happy summers till we meet next.

A Mini Scrapbook designed by Pratyusha

Heya Lovelies,

Pratyusha here, with a brand new project with Bob n Betty’s Valentine release “No One But You”. Well, these papers are so apt for scrapbooking that I too finally jumped in that zone. Being a first-timer, I didn’t have to struggle much as the papers do half of your job, they are so complete in themselves that you hardly need to use stamps or stencils to give volume to your layouts.

Now comes the tricky part, the album construction….phew..!
This album measures 4x6inches. As I am entirely new to the album making, I wanted to try out something very basic.

The outer cover is made from red cardstock of 220gsm. I layered elements from the diecut sheet (included in the collection). Used a chipboard frame that was heat embossed to match the red cardstock to add some sparkle!!!

The inner pages are pretty much simple. I made 8 pages in total. Few pages have pockets that could hold tags which were again cut from the die cut sheet in No one but you collection.

I added the papers as desired and chipboard elements to brighten up the scene!!

I am sure to develop more skills in album making in future to bring in more zing to this aspect 🙂

Much Love

Memory Books Designed by Niharika Gupta, using #LoveSpell and Optima

Knock knock,
Niharika here….

“Bigger challenges comes with bigger opportunities”, right ?

Today, I am extremely delighted to bring this project to you, because this is not yet another DT project… but it has a great feeling of achievement with it… and yes, there is not just one project in here, but two.. You know why ? Because these memory books are made for some really special people, I’m feeling so elated to get the opportunity to make something for the much accomplished celebrities Sanya Malhotra and Fhatima Sana Sheikh, better known as “Dangal Queens”….I am sure they don’t need further introduction, we all know them well…

It was an absolute pleasure to make something for them.. without taking much time, let me show you some pictures.

I made one of these scrapbooks with Bob n Betty’s “Love Spell” and the other one with the newly launched collection “Optima”. I just loved using both these collections as they are so versatile and have such elegant looking papers.

Love Spell has tones of pinks which gel so well with the black and brown shades and the best part is, they don’t restrict you to be used only for your love albums.

Optima on the other hand comes with 18 assorted patterns, which are unique in their own way, yet can be used together in one scrapbook.

I have kept both these albums in coordinated and well decorated MDF boxes, and tried to keep the embellishments very simple, with some film-strip washi tapes and brads. My idea was to add few pics, and leave space for them to write and add a few, they wish to preserve as memories from the movie. The metal charms helped me beautify the covers.

Someone has said it right, when we amplify the best within us, we can achieve something miraculous. Thanks to Bob n Betty for these beautiful collections, that these albums look amazingly graceful..

Cards made with leftover paper scraps, by Tanya Cloete

Hello Scrappy Friends,

Tanya here with 3 special cards using the BEAUTIFUL Woodies, Coral Cluster and Angels of Eden Collections!

As you all most probably know by now I love using leftover pieces from previous projects to use on cards thus they do not go to waste!

The card for the Coral Cluster Collection is however one of the 6×6 sheets that I used that came included in the paper pack. The die cut swirls was from scraps leftover.

Lots of layering/matting have been done on the cards again. There are a lot of die cut pieces on the cards using various leaf, flower, heart, swirl and word dies. I have also added some additional embellishments as well like flowers, string, butterflies, hearts and flat back pearls.

These cards can be used for any special occasion!

Hope you like them as much as I enjoyed making 🙂

Happy Scrapping!
