A Shabby Chic Style Baby Girl Mini Album, made with “Cuddling Cuties” Paper Pack

A baby girl is a blessing of Almighty, a miracle that never ceases to be miraculous and boundless treasure. Her little footsteps fill the ambiance with laughter and happiness and innocence seems to have no limits. The welcome of a newborn baby girl should be grand. I always wanted to capture little things that my daughter did when she was a toddler. I am sure you would also want to do that.

Over the years, I have made a lot of baby girl albums and all of them were cute and adorable. This time, I wanted to come up with some shabby chic baby girl album and my hunt finally ceased when I received this month’s DT kit from Bob n Betty. This project is full of emotions and tenderness as I have designed a baby girl mini album. Here are some close ups….

The amazing collection of baby girl theme pattern papers “Cuddling Cuties” is simply perfect for the shabby chic projects, adorable papers in soft, muted pinks and purples. The collection also has an accent sheet with some gorgeous vintage baby images.

I’ve made a 6”x 6.5” baby girl mini album with tons of lace. All embellishments apart from the flowers are from the paper pack itself.

Here’s a video flip through showing the album in detail.

Hope you all liked this album; I sure did enjoy making it..!

A Shadow Box Frame made with “Tiny Tots” Paper Pack

Hello folks

“Believe in dreams, they do come true. Our came dressed in blue”. Newborn babies bring with them a world of fantasies. The little footsteps bring with them the plethora of happiness and love. Within no time the little toddler becomes the jewel of family, crawling and giggling around in the entire home. Their innocent chirpiness makes the ambiance of the place go fresh and lively. Similar thoughts occupied my mind when I received Bob n Betty’s mesmerizing collection of pattern papers, Tiny Tots in my May month DT pack. The cuteness of a baby boy is captured so well in this collection that it keeps me amazed whenever I see them. The minute detailing, the fascinating illusion of depth and layers just make me stare at the design all the time.

As I was deciding what I should create from this paper stack, the immediate thought that captured my mind was to make a shadow box frame as they are the best to preserve those smiles and emotions for infinite times to come. The paper pack is more of shabby chic style and I totally loved the soft baby colors. Thus, I began making a 12×12 shadow box frame.

Most of the embellishments used in the frame are from the paper pack itself.

I have used foam squares and small wooden cubes to pop up the fussy cut elements.

The little feet make the biggest footprints in our hearts and this tenderness is what I have attempted to seizure in this shadow box frame. Hope you like the outcome.

Mixed Media Wall Clock Layout made with “Summer Charm” Paper Collection

Hello everyone, Ayushi here!  Yup, I’m back with my DT post for this month. I’ve created a Mixed Media Wall Clock Layout from the gorgeous paper collection of Bob n Betty, “Summer Charm”. It’s is going to be released on 28th May’ 16. This collection consists 10 adorable papers in soothing pastel shades, with a very summery look.

Summer Charm

I totally loved playing along with these papers and created this wall clock layout.

The base of this project is a thick board adorned with gorgeous papers from Summer Charm collection in the background. I just fell in love with the variety of pastel backgrounds of this collection, they are just perfect for mixed media layouts.

To add the whimsical touch to it, I created lots of handmade flowers and leaves and assembled them with MDF clock and sentiment.

Here are more close-ups of the flowers and leaves to give you the precise idea of the effects I’ve given them.

Hope you all loved this project. Will appreciate your kind comments and feedback.

A Gift Bag made with Ornate Annie Paper Collection

Girls love to have an attractive assortment of bags in their closet. Be it a college day or an event, a bag is a must have accessory for every girl. So, how about giving it a creative bend? The bags that you usually carry either have some metal embellishments or of single color. The creative beast within me compelled me to try something out of the box. For this I chose Ornate Annie pattern papers from Bob n Betty. No paper could have been a better choice for making these bags.

PMV 12

This was a trial and it turned out to be beautiful. I didn’t take pics while making it, so for the pictorial I’ve used other paper from Ornate Annie.

The  Material required:

  • 2 Bob n Betty pattern papers from Ornate Annie collection. ( I am using 6×6 inch papers)
  • Canvas that would fit both the pattern papers.
  • Mod Podge
  • Paintbrush
  • Brayer
  • Needle and thread
  • Distress stain in colors of your choice, stamp pad in colour of your choice
  • Ribbon
  • Beads and charms to decorate the bag, Viva décor inka gold paint
  • Stamps and stencils!!!

Part 1 : Pictorial for Image Transfer

Repeat the above steps for the second pattern paper also and cut both the canvases to size.

Part 2 : Making the bag.

  • Once the canvas is cut to size. Oppose the canvas with the pattern to each other and clip them at one end.
  • I don’t have mad sewing skills. I just used a simple running stitch to sew the canvases together on 3 sides.
  • Once sewing is done. Reverse the canvases to get a pouch with one side open.
  • Punch holes to the free side of the pouch to attach the ribbon.
  • Now it’s left to your imagination as to how you decorate it. I used co-coordinating Tim Holtz distress stain to cover the areas where the image transfer was not up to mark.
  • I used coordinating color of ink pad and used mixed media stamps to randomly cover the canvas on both the sides.
  • Later I used Viva décor Inka gold and stencil to add some more interest to the finished bag.
  • Once happy with the look of the gift bag. I added in some beads and charms to finish it off

Hope you all enjoyed the process of making this gift bag.

A Treasure Box of Memories made by “Roses All Around” Paper Collection

Greetings Fellas,

A beautiful Sunday morning it was, when I took a cup of tea and walked into my garden. I was enjoying my solitude in the morning bliss. Amidst all the natural beauty I got reminded of moments that I have spent with my family and friends. Moments of happiness, love, emotions and despair. Some were still fresh and some I could barely remember. Suddenly, a thought popped up in my mind of preserving these beautiful memories for times to come. Therefore, I decided to design a treasure box with a small scrapbook to store the delicate moments of love and affection.

And the very next day, I received a gift pack from Bob n Betty and the moment I opened it my thoughts started taking a shape….such mesmerizing compilation of pattern papers from Bob n Betty. I was totally in love with this paper pack, Roses All Round. The divinity of roses is captured so well on a vintage backdrop. I spent an hour looking at them but did not feel like moving scissors on such scrumptious paper. Indeed, they are so beautiful. So I just started playing along with the beautiful papers and loved the way my treasure box turned out to be.

To begin with, I have inked and distressed the edges and added some gesso, some sparkling glitter, white acrylic to give a touch of royal English vintage texture.

And to top it up used some fabric flowers and metal embellishment to decorate it.

Here you get a closer look…..

Hope you too liked the outcome.

A Heart Shaped Box, Altered with Amor Mio Paper Collection

Hello Friends,

Juhi here with a fun project, this is my second project with Amor Mio Paper Pack, and no wonder I’m in love with the versatility of this collection, it’s just perfect to give a loving bend to any of your creations.
So for my DT project this month, I’ve created a detailed video tutorial in which you will learn the interesting ways to alter a simple object into an absolute charmer.

Hope you enjoyed watching it.

Double Easel Card made with Amor Mio Paper Pack

Bored of making the usual card and gifting to someone? Perhaps it is the time for you to think out of the box and try out something innovative and creative. Cards are one of the most wonderful ways of sharing your emotions with your loved ones, when you actually frame your thoughts in vibrant colors. But to follow the conventional way is not my way of displaying creativity. Instead of making only a card, I tried making an easel card. Various thoughts kept hovering my mind, but when i got Amor Mio paper pack in my DT kit this month, I got an idea how to streamline my thoughts. So let’s get started with the making and embrace its magic…

Take a 12”X12” Cardstock and score at 6”, rotate the card stock by 90O & cut at 6” up to the score line.

TS 1TS 2

Score both halves diagonally as shown below. The easel card base is ready.

TS 3

Next I selected patterns to make the two easels. For one of these I wanted to use the beautiful tags that are a part of the paper stack, so I made a pocket. Using the Prima distress tool I distressed the edges of 3 pieces of pattern paper (measuring 5 ¾”)

TS 4

Using an end of a brush I rolled two pieces of paper to create pockets & also distress one corner of the topmost layer, to pop the beautiful roses & frames in the pattern.

TS 5

Highlighted the distressed edges using Prima chalk edgers.

TS 6

Also included in this paper pack is some frame patterns & these formed the second easel. Glue all the layers of both the panels as shown below. The easels are now ready to be embellished.

Here are some close ups of the finished card –
