Craft-room Wall Hanging by Zalak A Mandal feat. Dirty Pour Decoupage Paper

Hello Everyone,

Zalak again with you all. Today I am sharing wall hanging project with “Dirty Pour” Decoupage paper. This wall hanging I have made for all the Crafters who has their own craft room and inspired by random search on internet basically known as Optical Illusion Frame.

So, Let’s see

DSC06077

I had a 12″ square MDF board with me and was planning to do acrylic pour art on it but then I received my DT kit and I saw Dirty Pour decoupage paper.

  • So I cut 8″x1″ strips from scrap MDF and placed them on a 12″ MDF board in a form of triangle to create illusion effect. Then I have prime it with primer.
  • Then in my silhouette machine I cut two different stencil saying “Create” and “Inspire”.
  • Then on paper I placed one of a stencil and applied modeling paste. Same way with other paper I applied modeling paste mixed with brown color. Also splatter with gold acrylic color.
  • Once it is dried, I have cut them into 8″x1″ strips.
  • Then with mod-podge I adhered one design (i.e. Create) on a left side of the triangle strips and other design (i.e. Inspire) on a right side of the triangle strips.
  • Then I let the frame dried and after that I have applied red color to the back side of the base.
  • Once everything was dried, I have applied waterproof varnish.

A tall card by DT Gayatri featuring decoupage papers ‘Tender Flowers’

Hello friends,

Today I am sharing a new project using decoupage papers. I have used them to make a tall card. The decoupage paper collection ‘Tender Flowers’ is so beautiful that a shabby chic card was what popped up in my mind! Something different from using them for only decoupage.

1

I used two patterns from the collection and added a few handmade foamiran flowers, lace, die cuts and a few pearls too.

2

I tucked in a bow made with twine beneath the flowers.

I layered the inside of the card also with the same base paper I used on the front panel. I fussy cut few flowers and added them in the corners.

Altered Gift Basket by Priyanka Singh, Feat. Tender Flower Decoupage Speciality Paper

Hello Fellas,

Since Raksha bhandan is on it way ahead, nothing came best to my mind than altering a MDF basket I had with me for quite a long time….waiting for it’s chance to be turned into something magical from plain and boring….

I wanted to make something special for my little brothers this rakhi, with handful of their favourite snacks and chocolates in it…..I think this came out to be the best…

Tadaaa… here’s my altered basket using the tender flowers decoupage speciality papers from Bob n Betty. its was a little challenge to choose from all 8 designs I had in the pack and ended up picking this black and pink ones..

This is how it looked before it got turned into this gorgeous basket…..

To make the basket into the theme of the paper I had chosen, accordingly I painted the whole basket with base coat, white gesso….and then pink chalk paint from inside…

I have also gone ahead to another design paper in pink from the pack on sides of the basket…

Nothing completes my alterations with adding a little more wow factor to it….and I did ended up making this gorgeous roses in pink and yellow matching the flowers on the paper itself…

Made a bunch of these roses on one side of the basket…following its way to a little bit on the handles…and its no way looks amazing without adding these butterflies…what do u say?

Hope you all enjoyed my inspiration project, and will surely give it try for upcoming festive… will surely love to see ur makings….

Decoupaged Caddy by Jaanhvi Hinduja, feat. Munchkin Decoupage Papers

Gifting for infants and toddlers gets tricky as well as challenging…won’t most of you agree? There’s a plethora of gifting options available in the market, but everyone dislikes to receive gifts, that aren’t appealing or useful. Personalized gifts and gifts that could organize little things around the children’s’ room are becoming very popular these days. So, I played around my forte and made a cute little personalized caddy using the Munchkin Decoupage Specialty paper collection.
The collection has some very adorable prints which could be useful for projects related to new-borns, infants as well as toddlers.
I chose the colorful animal print from the pack as I wanted to make the caddy for a toddler’s room. I wanted the organizer to be easy to maintain and use,  so I kept it simple…using some coordinated elements around the name, finished the job!
Check out the pictures and let me know if you liked it.

I have created this project for my new arrival of baby girl.

So without further chit-chat let’s jumped into the project walk-through.

Princess Carriage

Faux Resin Pour Decoupage Frames by Ujjwal Gupta, feat. Dirty Pour Speciality Papers

Hey there, this is Ujjwal and today I have a brand new project to share with you. I am using the newly released Dirty Pour Decoupage Speciality Papers. These papers are inspired by the trending acrylic/resin pour paintings which are everywhere on the internet these days. I love that you can get the same pour painting feel without all the paints and the pouring by just using these papers and a top coat of resin.

I wanted the quotes to reflect the bold, loud vibes of these frames and chose to hand write these quotes with a brush pen.

The resin really helps to bring out the real pour painting feel to these frames. I love the soft smooth feel of the resin on these frames.

I have a video tutorial on how I created these. The steps are simple and supplies needed are very few and still you get stunning results. Watch the video HERE and create you own masterpieces.
