Bob n Betty 2nd Birthday Celebrations – CONTEST 3 “THE PAPER RECKONER”

Hello Scrappy Friends,

I’m so glad to be a part of Bob n Betty’s 2nd birthday celebrations.
So, I’m hosting the third contest here “The Paper Reckoner”. I know you guys have been through two brain-teasing contests, hosted by my 2 exceptionally talented teammates. Hence, my task was to design something simple yet fun.

And here it is…

You can see 24 tiles in the image here, each tile carries an element from different Scrapbook and Decoupage collections of Bob n Betty and you simply have to find out which paper collection they belong to. I have organized each tile with alphabets in order to make it easy for you to answer.

So your answers should be in format:

A – XYZ collection
B – ABC Collection and so on..

You may refer the website for any assistance required www.bobnbetty.in Go to “our collections” tab, check out the insights of each collection and find out the elements.

Isn’t it simple..? So wear you thinking caps now and start sending your answers to us at bobnbettyindia@gmail.com

This contest closes at 11:59 pm, 28th April.

Much Love
Tanya

BOB N BETTY 2ND BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS – CONTEST 2 “Scribble – Scrabble”

Hey Guys,
Jaanhvi here to add some more sparkle to Bob n Betty Birthday Celebrations.

We’ll play something very close to scrabble, without the board of course. So there are 102 letters corresponding to 102 numbers which are being given to you. Each letter carries a score. There are two blank numbers which are the ‘wild letters’, and can be used as any alphabet to form a word. A player has to form one or more words with the letters given to them. Each letters carries a score. The person getting the highest score with valid words shall be the winner. Here are the detailed instructions for the game:

  1. A player has to choose 7 numbers from the ones given above and comment the numbers chosen along with their email id only in the “START” game post (will be posted in an hr or so). Numbers commented in any other post shall not be eligible. Please decide on the number and comment in a single post. Multiple comments shall be disqualified. Email id must be clearly mentioned in the same comment. Comments carrying only numbers without email id shall be disqualified.
  2. Number chosen by a player cannot be re-chosen by another player. So there are only 102 unique numbers (represented by letters) to play with. Therefore, look up the comments and choose from the remaining numbers only.
  3. This is a game of luck in the first place, as only 14 people can participate, the letters being limited to 102.
  4. The letters corresponding to the numbers chosen by the players shall be emailed to them within 24 hrs. Please ensure that a correct email id is provided in order to avoid the chance of losing out in the game.
  5. Player choosing the number already chosen by other player shall be disqualified, without any notice.
  6. Each player on having received their 7 letters will be required to form one or more words. Letters can be repeated while forming words. The word(s) must be any product or technique related to paper For e.g., antique, emboss, mist, pad, fussy, shall be valid words. As the letters are limited, words being part of the complete craft tool or technique names shall be valid. For eg., MIX being part of MIXED MEDIA is valid. HEAT, being part of HEAT TOOL is valid. However, please note that we reserve the right to decide a word being valid or invalid.
  7. The players must email their letters along with the words formed by them in .txt or .doc format.
  8. The ‘wild letter’ can be used by a player, if received to replace any letter. For e.g. if the letters received are G, WILD, U,P, D, R, O then G, WILD, N – ‘GUN’ shall be a valid word. However, the ‘wild letter’ carries a 0 score.
  9. The player obtaining the highest score shall be declared the winner of goodies worth rs. 5000 and a souvenir designed by me.
  10. Read through the instructions carefully. The game will begin when we hit “START” in our next post. Time of the post will be intimated in advance.

We are giving you one hour’s time, understand the rules and start thinking about your numbers, Wait for our “START” post on Bob n Betty’s Facebook page to start commenting.

Good Luck..!

Printers Tray designed with Googly Woogly Paper Collection, by Ayushi Aggarwal

Heya friends,

Ayushi here with another DT blogpost for Bob n Betty. I have used their latest release “Googly Woogly” to adorn a Printers Tray. This cute little tray would dress up any little baby’s room or it would make the perfect baby shower gift for a close friend or relative.

Each spot on the tray is a perfect place to add just a touch of paper, buttons, ribbon, pins, flowers, etc.  Here are some ideas that I have applied.

This particular collection gives you a wide range of seamless patterns, baby & pregnancy journaling cards and much more to choose from the fussy cutting element sheets. There are plenty of words, sayings and letters to say what you want to say to the little one.

The best idea is to leave one or two sections open for photos, so when the time comes they can be slipped in accordingly.

I totally loved making it, do let me know if you too liked this project.

Much Love
Ayushi

A Birdhouse Table Lamp, designed by Jaanhvi Hinduja with Googly Woogly Paper Collection

Hello my lovely pals!

It was a lazy sunny morning, when my son saw someone fixing a birdhouse in the adjacent bungalow verandah.  He was amused having seen a tiny house and demanded one for himself :).  Well,  all of the toddler’s desires can’t be fulfilled, but this one did give me a crafty idea.  I too loved the birdhouse but wanted to escape maintaining one in my verandah! So,  i decided to make a bird house lamp for his room instead.  The newest release of Bob n Betty,  “Googly Woogly”,  gave colors to my imagination. The stack has lovely gender-neutral prints and colors that make it ideal, not only for baby record book but for a lot of baby shower and nursery decor projects.

It’s fun to have cheerful colors in a toddler’s room,  and green and yellow make a perfect color pallette as the kids outgrow the ‘pink’ and ‘blue’ age. So,  a safari theme table lamp in the shape of a bird house was a perfect choice for me.

I took a readymade MDF birdhouse and cut a 2.5″/2.5″ square out of the house base using my jigsaw cutter to make a hollow base for fixing a bulb. Next,  i cut another piece of MDF equal to the size of the base of the house and got a bulb holder fixed in this piece.  I made a hole in the backside of the house for the bulb wire to pass through and finally fixed the base having the bulb onto the house base with screws. Bulb can be changed by unscrewing the base.

The challenging part was now done and I began with painting and then decoupaging the birdhouse.  The stack has lovely fussy cut elements and notecards and i chose the monkey, the giraffe and the butterflies for my project.

Have a look how cute these animals make the birdhouse look!

My son was happy to have a cute birdhouse lamp for his room and so was I :).

Do leave your comments, how you liked this project and give it a try at leisure.

Love,
Jaanhvi

A Pregnancy Memory Keeper, designed by Niharika Gupta with Googly Woogly Paper Pack

Hi there,

Niharika this side, with one more inspiring project for you all… with the very new Googly Woogly paper pack launched by Bob n Betty….

A mother’s joy begins when one more life is stirring inside, when a tiny heartbeat is heard for the very first time, & a playful kick reminds that she is never alone…

Trust me, this paper pack collection is ‘the best’ you can chose to make your Pregnancy Memory Keeper or Pregnancy journals… perfect colors, and the elements sheet is to die for… I just loved the idea of circular calendar,  to mark the most important milestones during the precious nine months, have a closer look….

The mommy-to-be can record her secret hopes, feelings, her checkup dates, names she might like before even knowing if she has a princess or a handsome charmer in her belly, her to-do list, even her mood swings…. yes.. & you get that all at the tip of your scissors with this paper collection…

in this album, i have started with the 1st trimester page, follwed by 2nd & 3rd trimester pages, and it ends with the arrival of the baby page. As the gender of the baby is not known, i could use the neutral shades there to go with baby girl or boy pictures.. & for the decoration as well, the elements sheets has it all in baby boy, baby girl, and neutral gender theme….

I have fussy cut the hanging monkey, stars, welcome banner, the swan, and arranged them to have a perfect decoration …

I hope you like this sweet pregnancy memory keeper… do let me know if you use any of these ideas in your work, would really really love to hear from you.. 🙂

Happy crafting guys, & thanks for stopping by….

Lots of love,
Niharika

ALWAYS & FOREVER PAGE LAYOUT, designed by Tanya Cloete

Hello Scrappy Friends,

Tanya here with a Page Layout using Bob n Betty’s gorgeous “No One But You” Collection!

Once again I’ve used a matching colour cardstock as the base of my layout. I’ve trimmed one of the sheets (green pattern) in the collection pack to fit the cardstock sheet leaving a border.

I then trimmed another sheet (pink pattern) to fit on top and trimmed a piece off at the bottom so that the green pattern sheet can be visible.

I mixed some white paint and glitter with modeling paste and added that to the pink pattern sheet using a butterfly stencil.

The chipboard word (Always & Forever) is embossed with Ranger Rose Quartz and Bridal Tinsel Embossing Powder.

The circle chipboard frame has been inked with distress ink Worn Lipstick and Peeled Paint. A coat of glossy accents has been applied too. I’ve matted the frame with a sheet from the collection pack.

The pictures from the collection pack have been matted onto pink and green cardstock.

I then decorated the rest of the page with flowers, leaves, rhinestones and metal embellishments.

Hope you like this as much as I enjoyed making it!

Happy Scrapping!
Tanya
