Explosion Box Card by Niharika Gupta, feat. Roseate Paper Collection

Hi everyone,

I am back here today with my newest creation and probably the last post of this year. This place is totally filled with inspirations. You must have observed that in my last few projects. And here is one more inspired from the surroundings here.
Its winter, and not a only a season, its a celebration! People light up their houses, decorate it for Christmas, with snow on the roofs, and on the little plants, sides of the road, lights make everything feel so warm! It seems to be a different magical world all together.
This Explosion Box Card made with the very beautiful Roseate collection, seems to capture the beauty completely. I tried to emblematise a house on a cold winter evening here, all set up for celebrations.
Cutting the smallest flowers and leaves from the paper pack was so much fun!
Don’t forget to catch up on the small video in the end to see the beauty of the flickering light in the house. It can be turned on or off from the outside of the box card.
Just loved making it.  Its for someone here to save her Christmas memories… Awww, I am waiting to know from her how she likes it. Till then, i would love to hear from you how you liked it. Have a great winter and an amazing holiday season! Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a very Happy and Prosperous New Year!
Love, Niharika.

Floral CAS Cards Designed by Preeti Datta, Feat. Roseate Paper Collection

Hi folks!
Good Morning 🙂
Preeti Datta (aka Dutt Preety) here. How are you doing ?

Today, I’d like to share Four Floral CAS or Clean and Simple Style Cards designed using the new & absolutely gorgeous Roseate Paper Collection.

The floral images in this paper collection are beautiful & make perfect focal elements for all kinds of projects. All I needed to do was fussy cut some floral images and sentiments. No stamping or colouring required! In these cards, I’ve created different backgrounds using stencils, ink smooshing with inks to create a more organic look and loose water colouring. To add interest, I created ink splatter, added thread to some of the floral clusters and Nuvo drops for embellishment. The card panels were die cut & foam mounted on white A2 sized (4.25 by 5.5 inches) card bases.

2. Mix modelling paste with pigment powders and then apply the coloured pastes through stencils onto the prepared panels using a palette knife2

3. To add interest to the background, stamp using matching ink colors and also add some more color (and splatters) to the background using the same pigment powders & distress ink3

4. Fussy cut some of the beautiful images from the Roseate Paper Collection, these will be our embellishments4

5. Finally, gather some more elements like thread, lace, pearls, gauze, resin frames etc that may be needed while layering. For these cards, I decided to go simple & use only the fussy cut elements and some golden thread, adding some of the elements with 3d foam tape for added dimension. In the end, added some black and white ink splatter & perfect pearls. 5

Cute Baby Mixed Media Card Designed by Preeti Datta

Hi folks!
Good Morning 🙂
Preeti Datta (aka Dutt Preety) here. How are you doing ?

Today, I’d like to share a Cute Baby Mixed Media Card. This is a big sized card great for gifting. I’ve used the beautiful and totally adorable papers from Bob n Betty’s earlier collections, “Cuddling Cuties” and “Baby Bliss“. All of Bob n Betty’s paper collections have been brilliantly designed, so, it is very easy to mix and match papers from different collections, go back to the earlier releases and mix them with new ones. Sky is the limit with respect to matching elements and coming up with new combos 🙂

Vintage Cards Designed By Preeti Datta Featuring Meadows & Classics Decoupage Specialty Papers

Hi friends 🙂

Preeti Datta (aka Dutt Preety) here. How are you today?

There are only a few days left in the month of April and Bob n Betty will soon be celebrating it’s 3rd Birthday on 28th April, yay!! That’s tomorrow!! Everyone at the Bob n Betty family is very thankful to all it’s patrons & supporters. To celebrate, there is an awesome giveaway & a Mega Contest, to check out all the details & for your chance to win superb prizes, please visit the Bob n Betty Facebook page. Don’t miss this awesome opportunity, there is very little time left to participate 🙂

Today, I’d like to share a set of 2 Layered Vintage Cards I made using Bob n Betty’s beautiful new range of Decoupage Specialty Papers- “Meadows” and “Classics”. I also included a few elements from the “Glam Craft” collection. Both the cards are big sized, 5 by 9 inches. When I saw the pretty butterflies, birds and flowers, I was inspired by the theme of nature, so I added the title “Wild & Free” using alphabet beads, to both the cards.

The new Decoupage Specialty Paper Collections are perfect for vintage themed projects and they coordinate brilliantly with all the previous releases. It is super fun & easy to mix and match elements. The designs are gorgeous and these decoupage papers can be used for all kinds of paper crafting projects including decoupage, cards, scrapbooks, canvases, tags, art journalling etc. I would highly recommend checking out the numerous great examples on the Bob n Betty blog and Instagram page, made by the Design Teams over the years. It really is worth the time.

Floral CAS Cards Designed by Preeti Datta Using Multiple Bob n Betty Collections

Hi friends 🙂

Preeti Datta (aka Dutt Preety) here. How are you today?
I’d like to share 6 CAS or Clean & Simple Styled Floral Cards with you. I have included a few Mixed Media Elements in some of the designs to create additional interest. These were a lot of fun to make & the idea here was to use the gorgeous floral elements from various Bob n Betty Collections & mix and match them to create cards. Usually, we use floral stamps & then color them to make such elements for cards, here, I wanted to fussy cut & use the beautiful, water-colored, floral images in the Bob n Betty Scrapbook Papers.

All the cards are standard A2 sized (4.25 by 5.5 inches). For the first 4 cards, I created fun backgrounds atop watercolor paper die cut panels. To lend these an organic, artsy look, I did “Ink Smooshing” to add shades of green to the background using distress inks & distress oxides. Then, created some ink splatter & did background stamping using shadow grey archival ink. For all the cards, I created layered floral clusters with fussy cut images, torn pieces of pattern paper & thread. Dimension was achieved by adding foam tape under some of the elements. The sentiments were fussy cut from the You n I paper pack & a few die cut sentiments were also used.  In the end, for embellishing all the cards, I used White & Black Nuvo Drops.

Here is a collage of all the cards:

Shabby Chic Cards for Valentine’s Day By Preeti Datta

Hi friends !

Preeti Datta (aka Dutt Preety) here, how’s it going? Hope you had a pleasant weekend.

The season of love is almost here and Valentine’s Day is fast approaching so for today’s post, I’d like to share Two Simple Shabby Chic Cards for Valentine’s Day. The aim was to keep the process  simple and use minimal supplies, hence, I did not use any art mediums except a little white gesso (as a lot of people do not have them or do not feel comfortable using Mixed Media Supplies). All I needed were some gorgeous Bob n Betty papers & a few embellishments from my stash.  I also wanted to keep the cards neutral and not overly “romantic” so that they could be used as valentine’s gifts for friends or relatives as well, therefore, I chose the sentiments, “with love” & “you are loved”.

Here is a photo collage of the two cards:

Card 2: You Are Loved

Synopsis of the Process:

Both the cards are 6 by 6 inches in size. I started by cutting the papers and distressing the edges. Layers were created with gauze, flowers, chipboards, torn & deckled pieces of paper, diecuts, twine & lace. The chipboards were not colored to help bring a little contrast and maintain the natural look. The flowers were slightly dry brushed with white gesso. To embellish the cards & keep the subtle look, a few gems and opal white liquid pearls were added.
