Valentine’s Cards by Niharika Gupta, feat. Caffe Romanza paper collection

Hi everyone!

I am sure you are all in your best creative spree with projects for Valentine’s day as it’s just around the corner! I would really love to see what you are making… specially if you are making it with this beautiful paper collection, Caffe Romanza!

Love comes in all shapes and sizes and colors! Isn’t it? It felt so amazing to work on love theme cards, in a completely unique color combination like this! To start with I decided to make two cards as an inspiration with these papers. After getting all soaked up in snow the other day, I wasn’t keeping very well, but the idea of making these cards cheered me up, and I love that they were super quick to make.

The cards measure 4.5” by 8” and I have used an off-white cardstock for the base. I have cut some elements from the paper pack to layer them with chipboards from Fabrika Decoru. A glittery pale yellow paper flower from Prima Marketing just added the oomph it needed. I love all the sentiments in the element sheet, but these two just caught me!

I hope you will like it.

As its snowing here, this week is being celebrated as “SportsLove” week and we have holidays in schools to enjoy the winter sports. So I am going to have an amazing Valentine week, hope you have one too!
Much thanks for stopping by!

Explosion Box Card by Niharika Gupta, feat. Roseate Paper Collection

Hi everyone,

I am back here today with my newest creation and probably the last post of this year. This place is totally filled with inspirations. You must have observed that in my last few projects. And here is one more inspired from the surroundings here.
Its winter, and not a only a season, its a celebration! People light up their houses, decorate it for Christmas, with snow on the roofs, and on the little plants, sides of the road, lights make everything feel so warm! It seems to be a different magical world all together.
This Explosion Box Card made with the very beautiful Roseate collection, seems to capture the beauty completely. I tried to emblematise a house on a cold winter evening here, all set up for celebrations.
Cutting the smallest flowers and leaves from the paper pack was so much fun!
Don’t forget to catch up on the small video in the end to see the beauty of the flickering light in the house. It can be turned on or off from the outside of the box card.
Just loved making it.  Its for someone here to save her Christmas memories… Awww, I am waiting to know from her how she likes it. Till then, i would love to hear from you how you liked it. Have a great winter and an amazing holiday season! Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a very Happy and Prosperous New Year!

A Lampshade decoupaged by Niharika Gupta, feat. Roseate DecoPatch Papers

Hi friends,

It has been a long time since I came here with a post. A break somehow turned into in lengthy absence. And now that I have started to bring my focus back, I will come up with some interesting posts in the coming days.

Well, I feel you can never go wrong when you think about designing something for your own home. To give a quick recharge to my energy, I tried to experiment on something I had never tried before – Decoupage. I always struggle to think on something which is not a “Scrapbook”, but trying hands on this amazing  paper from Bob n Betty was super fun. I had this plain white Lampshade at home and I used the beautiful floral arrangements from the Roseate Decopatch collection.

These papers give an amazingly smooth finish without much effort. I really liked the outcome and now this little thing brightens my room in the most elegant way.

Much thanks for stopping by.

Mini Album by Niharika Gupta, featuring the project made during FB live class

Hello Everyone,

Finally bringing the long awaited pictures of the complete album I made during the Facebook Live Class.
I didn’t add many things offline, just a bit here and there, which i will try to explain here and also i will try to mention the product names of a few things which I used and most people wanted to know their proper names.
Firstly, the adhesive that I used is the runner tape from Scrapbook Adhesives. It comes in variety, you can choose the type of adhesive you like (available at Crafters Corner)
The Embossing ball tool i used is from Dress my craft, medium size (available at Crafters Corner)
The Album is Kraft Memory Hardware Gatefold Journal from Prima Marketing, size 6.5″ X 6.25″
The Lock that I have used is Photo Frame Tied metal hook on the left flap (available at Madras Bazaar) with Tim Holtz clasp on right.
The Window is Memory Hardware Wood Shutters from Prima Marketing again.
Chipboard cutouts that I ended up using were from Scrapiniec and Dusty Attic sentiment chipboards.
I hope i have mentioned about the products most people were inquisitive to know. If still you have some doubt, or any question, please feel free to drop in a message in my inbox.
So the first thing i did after the class was to add my closure lock to the album. You can see how I attached the two pieces with a big bronze round brad in the pictures below. I liked the idea of my wooden window peeing from the center, so i didn’t mind the gap there and let the cover fall a little open at the middle. Added a few charms to the lock chain too.
Secondly, I added few more embellishments near the wooden window with a few splatters of white Gesso and gray chalk paint using my brush.
I ended up adding some splatters to the inside pages as well.
On the spine of the album, i added my favorite jute ribbon, it gives a wonderful texture to the spine.
I hope you enjoyed going through the pictures. Do drop in your comments to tell me what would you like to learn in the next live class with me.
Have an amazing, creative, and colorful week.
Love, Niharika.

Mixed Media Layout by Niharika Gupta, feat. Decoupage Specialty Papers

Hi dear crafty friends,

I am not a decoupage artist but every time Bob n Betty comes up with a new release in Decoupage specialty papers, my heart skips a beat with the beautiful gorgeous designs. I cannot resist using them in scrapbooks or layouts. And so here I am with a new post, a layout on canvas using a sheet from the new Meadows collection.

I loved the flowers on this paper, and the butterflies are so magical. The moment I saw this design, this photograph was the first thing I thought of. This is one of my favorite pictures from our beach outings and I am so happy with the output.
The decoupage specialty papers are neither too thin, nor too thick and hence they are suitable for all types of projects. I just fussy cut the flowers and butterflies and layered them with minimal embellishments for this layout.
over to the pictures…

I hope you like it and find it inspiring. I am preparing for my summer break now and I hope you all have a crafty summer too.

Love & Hugs, Niharika.

You n I Cards : Video Tutorial by Niharika Gupta

Hi Everyone,
A warm welcome to the Bob n Betty blog. I hope the weekend gave you enough sparkle to make the rest of the week shine.

My post today, is inspired by all card makers here. I usually don’t make cards, but I sure wanted to try hands on making simple cards after seeing the beautiful elements of this paper collection. Apparently, every new paper release by Bob n Betty becomes my new favorite, but I am totally addicted to this particular paper pack You n I.
And guess what, I decided to make a tutorial for you all. Yes, its my first video tutorial and I hope it will inspire you to experiment more with this collection. There are so many unique and interesting elements in there, that you won’t need many extra embellishments to decorate your cards. Let me show you a few pictures first.

I have 3 cards here and tutorial for two of these. My apologies, but after finishing the third card, I realised that my camera got switched off half way through. But don’t worry, let me compensate it with a little crafty tip, yaay!
Crafty Tip:  If you have been in a situation when you opened your glue bottle, or acrylic paint, or chalk paint bottle, and after few days, it is hard to open them, because the lid has got jammed? Well, I have been there many times, and I ended up cutting the bottles, or piercing a hole and then covering with a tape, and what not. But you can simply avoid it with this simple hack. Next time, when you open such a bottle, just apply a bit of Vaseline to the lid before closing it (just a little would do). And trust me, you will never find yourself stuck again.

As you all know, Bob n Betty’s 3rd birthday celebrations have begun, and there are some very interesting gifts to be won. So don’t miss this amazing chance. You can check the complete post here : https://www.facebook.com/bobnbettyindia/posts/2016361245280940
There are many more contests to be announced. So guys, gear up and play along !
Without taking more time, you can now enjoy the videos.

Here are some close up pictures for you….

I shall look forward to see you soon with my next post.

Mini Scrapbook designed by Niharika Gupta, using the You n I collection

Hello Everyone!
I am so super excited to show you my new project today, which is a Mini Album in a Box. I truly love it so so much because it has “that” look which I wanted to achieve when I first saw these beautiful papers.
This project is made using Bob n Betty’s latest release, “You n I”, a perfect paper collection for your prettiest love albums.
Valentines Day is around the corner, and I am sure you all are busy making beautiful scrapbooks for the occasion which spreads love in the air. Trust me, this collection is a must try. The colors are super amazing, contrasting, with beautiful graphics and lot of tags and elements to be cut ( Shhh…!! I took out my elements from the cover too, both front and back, try to find out which ones are those ;P). The papers very well go with all the three basic card stock colors, black white or kraft.

I decorated the Box and Album in coordination. The cover of the box has some layered fussy cut flowers and leaves. The size of the album is smaller than it might appear to you, approximately 4”X5”.

I have layered the hair and hands of the couple image on the cover to add a little dimension to it. It has 4 pages with flaps and pockets and an accordion pocket in the end to hold some more pictures. ( P.S. the binding technique is inspired by Ms. Rajni Chawla. I adore all her beautiful creations, I hope I could use it well 🙂 )

Exactly a week to go, for the Valentines day… Yaay!! I can smell Love in the air, already…
Thank you so much for sharing your time with me here… I hope you liked the creation. See you soon with another new project.
Happy Crafting,

Love, Niharika

Baby Album designed by Niharika Gupta, using “Little Wonderland”

A very good evening to you all. I am so happy to be here today with my inspiration post, and the reason is apparent. We are surrounded with opportunities, and when we do it well, it works wonders. I am glad Bob n Betty gave me this opportunity. It’s time to show you the scrapbook album made with the cutest paper ever, ‘Little Wonderland’. So without much ado, let’s take a look at the pictures…

This album is 7/9 inches, and can accommodate approximately 100 pictures. Would you believe if I confess that I could finish this album with one pack? And the remaining sheets are intact in my paper pack, without any extra efforts to store them properly. The scrapbook turned out pretty well. I so loved it, the contrast colors, the patterns, all of it looks amazing and beaming.

Let me tell you something about the paper quality, it’s very smooth, Matt finish paper and the thickness of the paper is just apt to give you an effortless fussy cutting experience.

I have used the pop-up embellishments in slightly different way with acetate sheet, you can check that out in the video that I will be sharing on Bob n Betty page separately. I think that’s such a fun way to add little interactive elements to your scrapbook pages. The wobbling panda is sure so adorable, it looks darn cute wobbling in his basket.

I have learnt, the only way to do a great work is to love what you do…I like to do things differently, try new things…do mistakes, find out the solution to it, and experiment again…Keep looking, and don’t settle.
I hope you like this scrapbook album, don’t forget to leave some love in the comments below.. wishing you all a fun-filled festival time…

Love, Niharika
