A Decoupaged Box by Ruchika Gupta, featuring DecoPatch Papers

Hi folks,

Today I bring to you all a decoupage project that I hold very close to my heart and hope you all like it.
It is going to be a special gift for my daughter who turns 10 years old in a month’s time.

For the last 2 years I have been promising my little one of making this box for her and finally the minute I saw the designs of the new DecoPatch papers from Bobnbetty, I knew… This was it!!!

The Decopatch papers have the perfect texture for decoupage and are so very easy to use. The thickness of these papers is just right and can be applied on any surface to give a seamless finish to your projects.

All those of you who have seen my earlier piece of work, would know that I am a minimalistic type of person… I like to keep my projects clean and clutter free. I’m not a big fan of fuzzy cuttings, but trust me when I tell you that when you do fuzzy cuttings from any of DecoPatch papers (in this case from the Floral Adornment sheet) and glue them to a different part of the design, they blend into the papers so well that you cannot make out that they were not part of the original design.

For the insides of the box, I have used 2 different papers from the “Cottage Blush” pack. The designs from this pack have the same vintage and shabby chic look and feel and hence go very well together.

To finish the box, I have decorated it with some mulberry flowers and chipboard sentiment. I have also attached a metal butterfly as I think every girl big or small just loves butterflies.

Hope you liked my project and I would love to hear from you. Thanks Deepika for being so patient with me 🙂  and I hope I have done justice with these beautiful papers.

Ruchika 🙂
